blink-182

Recorded throughout 2003, blink-182 marks a departure from the band's earlier work, infusing experimental elements into their usual pop punk sound, inspired by lifestyle changes (the band members all became fathers before the album was released) and side projects. The record features a collaboration with The Cure frontman Robert Smith. Lead singles 'Feeling This' and 'I Miss You' received the most radio airplay of the four singles released and peaked high on Billboard charts.

TAKE OFF YOUR PANTS AND JACKET

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was originally released on June 12, 2001. The title is a tongue-in-cheek pun on male masturbation (take off your pants and jack it). The album had near immediate success, becoming the first punk rock identified record to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 and being certified double platinum in May 2002. The album produced three hit singles — 'The Rock Show', "First Date' and 'Stay Together for the Kids' — that were top ten hits on modern rock charts.

Recorded over two nights at performances in the band's home of California in November 1999, The Mark, Tom and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back) features the group performing songs from it's first three albums mixed with snippets of off-color stage banter between guitarist Tom DeLonge and bassist Mark Hoppus. The album peaked within the top 10 in the US and several other countries. "Man Overboard", a newly recorded studio track, accompanies the release and was issued as it's lead single, peaking at #2 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart.

Dude Ranch is the second studio album by blink-182. Recorded at Big Fish Studios in Encinitas, California with producer Mark Trombino, the album was released in the United States on June 17, 1997, jointly through independent label Cargo Music and major label MCA Records. MCA signed the band in 1996 following moderate sales of their debut Cheshire Cat (1995) and growing popularity of the trio in Australia. Dude Ranch was the band's final recording released on Cargo and their last with original drummer Scott Raynor before he was dismissed from the band in 1998. The band recorded the album during the winter of 1996-1997. With lyrical material written on the band's nonstop tours over the previous years, as well as completed songs, the band recorded with Trombino in sessions that lasted for five weeks.
